Window management

Understand how Lulu places, moves, and presents windows.

Scrollable tiling

In tiling mode, Lulu arranges windows in columns. The horizontal viewport can move across those columns, allowing a workflow that is not limited to fitting every column on screen at once.

Full-width columns

With a column focused, Super + J toggles full width in the verified development configuration. Lulu saves the previous width and restores it on the next toggle.

Moving windows

The normal interactive drag path supports Super + left mouse drag. During movement, Lulu presents the window and its border together while maintaining the underlying logical tile layout.

Floating workspaces

Lulu also supports a floating layout mode. In the established implementation, new floating windows are positioned around the workspace center. Toggling between tiling and floating has been tested in development.

Resizing and merging

Lulu has column sizing and merge/unmerge mechanisms. The exact currently supported controls should be verified against the current release configuration before they are listed as public shortcuts.

Animated neighbor-aware resizing remains planned rather than verified. Do not treat it as an existing release feature.
