Mouse controls

Move windows with the mouse and learn which pointer interactions are confirmed.

Lulu is in alpha. This page distinguishes developer-tested mouse behavior from interactions that still need verification on the latest Live ISO.

Move a tiled window

Hold Super and drag a window with the left mouse button. Lulu moves the grabbed window while you drag. The pink grabbing-hand cursor has been confirmed working in this interaction.

Release the window

Release the left mouse button to finish the drag. Lulu restores its default cursor after the pointer grab ends. Column placement and insertion depend on the current tiling layout.

Pointer focus and window selection

Click a window to interact with it. Window hit-testing depends on the current workspace, output and any visual transforms. The exact focus-follows-mouse behavior is configuration- and build-dependent.

Overview

Use Super + O to toggle overview in the documented configuration. Overview presents workspaces in a different visual arrangement; do not assume normal-mode dragging and overview dragging have identical behavior.

Resizing

Neighbor-aware resizing with Super + right mouse drag has been developed as a candidate feature, but is not confirmed as part of the current Live ISO. Check the version you are running before relying on it.

For the full set of configuration-defined shortcuts, visit the keyboard cheat sheet. Mouse grabs may be implemented directly in the compositor rather than appearing in the Lua keybinding table.
