Lulu Woof package manager

A practical introduction to Lulu’s pacman frontend.

Lulu Woof is a separate package-management frontend for Arch Linux’s pacman. The developer has confirmed the help and search commands working; installation and update workflows still require Live ISO verification.

What is Lulu Woof?

lulu-woof provides friendly package-management commands while using pacman underneath. It is separate from the Lulu Wayland compositor.

Getting started

Open a terminal and run:

lulu-woof woof-help
lulu-woof woof-search

Those two commands were confirmed working by the developer. For commands requiring package names or other arguments, follow the syntax shown by the installed help output rather than guessing.

Availability

The package was previously built as lulu-woof, with its executable at /usr/bin/lulu-woof. Inclusion in the next Live ISO has not yet been verified.

Safety

Installing, removing and updating packages changes the system. Review package names and the operation before confirming changes.
